Support your local senior centers!
It's that time of year again, as we enter the -berrrrrrrr months, to start thinking about rainy weather, cozy times, and the upcoming holidays. The Senior Provider Information Network hosts an annual donation drive in support of local senior centers each fall, alternating between the East and West sides of the broader Portland-metro area each year. This year, donations will be given in support of the Tigard, North Plains and Forest Grove senior centers.
From cold weather accessories like socks, hats, gloves & scarves, to computer paper and pens - most of these things you can probably find around the house, tucked away and unused for just such an occasion as this.
As a member of the board, I'm happy to help you coordinate the pick-up or drop-off of your donation. You can find out more about SPIN by visiting SPINPortland.org.
And don't forget to save the date for SPIN's Holiday Giving Event, where we'll gather to network, connect, and celebrate the important resource that Senior Centers contribute to our communities. We'll also sort the gathered donations for distribution to the three centers!
